At just 30 years old, Aarion Jenkins is serving a 40-month federal sentence for a non-violent cannabis offense. He’s a father of two young boys, now living in Florida without him. Aarion has missed critical years of their lives—simply for cannabis. He’s calling for reform, for cannabis to be decriminalized or removed from the federal schedule. “It’s time for change,” he says. “They keep locking people up for non-violent offenses. It’s long overdue.”
